Aguascalientes, land of baseball and hospitality

Baseball is a sport that fascinates millions of people in Mexico and around the world. It is a game that requires skill, strategy and teamwork. But it is also a way of coexistence, fun and learning.

That is what the more than a thousand attendees of the National Children’s Baseball Tournament U9 have experienced, which was held in Aguascalientes from May 1 to 7. In this event, 15 selections from different states competed for the national title, showing their talent and love for the king of sports.

But beyond the sporting results, what has stood out in this tournament has been the human quality and hospitality of the Aguascalentans, who have welcomed with open arms the little baseball players and their families.

The children have had the opportunity to know the culture, history and beauty of Aguascalientes, visiting emblematic places such as the Broken Christ, the National Museum of Death or the San Marcos Garden. They have also enjoyed the local gastronomy, tasting typical dishes such as enchiladas potosinas, menudo or roasted suckling pig.

The parents and coaches have recognized the effort and support of the state government, headed by Governor Tere Jiménez, who has promoted baseball as a way of promoting sport and healthy recreation among children and youth.

They have also praised the quality of the sports facilities where the games have been developed, highlighting the San Francisco de los Romo Sports Unit, which has a professional field and all the comforts for players and spectators.

Aguascalientes has proven to be a land of baseball and hospitality, which has been able to organize a first-class event and provide an unforgettable experience to the protagonists of this tournament: the children.

They take not only trophies, medals or recognitions, but also new friends, indelible memories and life lessons.

They are the future of Mexican baseball and the pride of their families and their states.

They are the best example that baseball is something that is carried in the heart.
