COL: La Policía Turística: un acierto de la gobernadora Tere Jiménez

Aguascalientes es un estado que tiene mucho que ofrecer a los visitantes: historia, cultura, naturaleza, gastronomía y diversión. Su feria nacional de San Marcos es una de las más famosas y concurridas del país, y sus municipios como Asientos, Calvillo y Rincón de Romos guardan tesoros arquitectónicos, artesanales y ecológicos.

Pero para que los turistas puedan disfrutar de todo esto, se necesita también garantizar su seguridad y orientación. Por eso, me parece una excelente iniciativa la creación de la Policía Turística por parte de la gobernadora Tere Jiménez, quien ha demostrado su interés por consolidar a Aguascalientes como un gran destino turístico.

La Policía Turística es un grupo especializado de policías estatales bilingües, capacitados en el idioma inglés por personal de la embajada de Estados Unidos. Además, tienen conocimientos sobre historia, geografía y sitios turísticos de la entidad, especialmente los diez principales que ningún visitante se puede perder, como el Jardín de San Marcos, la Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, el Parque Tres Centurias y el Museo José Guadalupe Posada.

Pero no solo eso, sino que también cuentan con conocimientos sobre primeros auxilios, protocolos de atención a primera emergencia y actuación como primer respondiente, lo que les permite brindar seguridad y prevención del delito a los turistas.

La Policía Turística inició operaciones en la Feria Nacional de San Marcos con 30 elementos, pero se espera que se fortalezca y se extienda a otros puntos del estado. Los policías turísticos se pueden identificar por un brazalete blanco que portan en el brazo1, y están dispuestos a orientar y apoyar a los turistas que lo requieran.

Creo que esta es una medida muy acertada para promover el turismo en Aguascalientes, pues no solo se trata de ofrecer atractivos, sino también servicios de calidad y confianza. La Policía Turística es un ejemplo de cómo la gobernadora Tere Jiménez está trabajando para hacer de Aguascalientes un estado seguro y hospitalario, que invite a los visitantes a regresar y a recomendarlo.

In addition, they have knowledge about history, geography and tourist sites of the state, especially the ten main ones that no visitor can miss, such as the Jardín de San Marcos, the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Parque Tres Centurias and the José Guadalupe Posada Museum.

But not only that, but they also have knowledge about first aid, protocols for first emergency care and acting as first responders, which allows them to provide security and crime prevention to tourists.
