COL: Un plan necesario para enfrentar la sequía

La sequía es uno de los problemas más graves que afectan al campo y al ganado en Aguascalientes. La falta de lluvias ha provocado una disminución de la producción agrícola y una escasez de agua y alimento para el ganado. Esto ha generado pérdidas económicas y sociales para los productores, agricultores y ganaderos del estado.

Por eso, me parece muy oportuno el plan integral de atención y previsión a la sequía que presentó el secretario de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural (SEDRAE), Isidoro Armendáriz García, a la gobernadora Teresa Jiménez. Este plan contempla tres aspectos fundamentales para mitigar los efectos de este fenómeno climático.

El primero es la coordinación con el gobierno federal para gestionar recursos y apoyos para los afectados. El segundo es la dotación de infraestructura y equipamiento para garantizar el abasto de agua, como remolques, cisternas, bolsas de agua, geomembranas y techos cuenca. El tercero es la provisión de suplemento alimenticio y forraje para el ganado.

El secretario Armendáriz García informó que este plan ya está en manos de la gobernadora y que espera que se le dé solución pronto. También adelantó que el próximo 22 se reunirá con los secretarios de cada una de las entidades en Sonora, para compartir experiencias y estrategias sobre este tema.

Desde esta columna, reconozco el trabajo del secretario Armendáriz García y su compromiso con el sector agropecuario. Creo que este plan es necesario y urgente para enfrentar la sequía y proteger el patrimonio y el sustento de miles de familias aguascalentenses.

Espero que este plan se concrete y se ejecute de manera eficiente y transparente. Creo que es una oportunidad para demostrar que el gobierno está al lado de los productores, agricultores y ganaderos, y que no los dejará solos ante esta adversidad.

A necessary plan to face the drought

Drought is one of the most serious problems affecting the field and livestock in Aguascalientes. The lack of rain has caused a decrease in agricultural production and a shortage of water and food for livestock. This has generated economic and social losses for producers, farmers and ranchers in the state.

That is why I find very timely the comprehensive plan of attention and prevention to the drought that presented the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development (SEDRAE), Isidoro Armendáriz García, to the governor Teresa Jiménez. This plan contemplates three fundamental aspects to mitigate the effects of this climatic phenomenon.

The first one is the coordination with the federal government to manage resources and support for those affected. The second one is the provision of infrastructure and equipment to guarantee the water supply, such as trailers, cisterns, water bags, geomembranes and roof basins. The third one is the provision of food supplement and fodder for livestock.

Secretary Armendáriz García reported that this plan is already in the hands of the governor and that he hopes that it will be solved soon. He also announced that on the 22nd he will meet with the secretaries of each of the entities in Sonora, to share experiences and strategies on this issue.

From this column, I recognize the work of Secretary Armendáriz García and his commitment to the agricultural sector. I think this plan is necessary and urgent to face the drought and protect the heritage and livelihood of thousands of Aguascalentan families.

I hope that this plan is concretized and executed efficiently and transparently. I think it is an opportunity to show that the government is on the side of producers, farmers and ranchers, and that it will not leave them alone in the face of this adversity.
