Jordan Hauenschild, a 26-year-old Australian, met Pitiuruk, a 24-year-old Ecuadorian indigenous man, through social media in December 2023. After four months of video calls and messages, Jordan decided to move to the Amazon, resigning from her job and traveling 14,000 kilometers from Queensland to be with him. Pitiuruk, nicknamed the 'real-life Tarzan', lives an adventurous life in the Ecuadorian jungle, where his family organizes guided tours to educate people about their tribal culture.
